I don't think this project is abandoned, I think the dev straight up died. Nobody had contact with him outside of his discord account which has been black since pretty much the last update. Anyone coming here hoping for the best: it's already over. As it is, the game is still really nice. The Discord is full of bots that post phishing links so don't go there hoping for updates or information. Hopefully the dev just found something better and moved on in life, it's happier to think about it that way.

I absolutely love this game and where it looks to be going. I've played a good few other games in this style, but this one is by far the best, somehow making me laugh and enjoy the story, can't wait to see future updates!
Did some digging in the discord, as of last month Kuroyama said the writing is done, just a matter of doing the scenes, however they are moving/going out of town so probably delays there.
I think I've exhausted most of the content in the game so far. everyone but Izumi is "more plot coming" except as I said Izumi, however she has "should spend more time" but after 3 in game weeks, no further actions and no switch to new plot coming in the girls menu.
Is there something more to see with her after the rooftop reunion, or is it waiting for update to extend her story too?
I have yet to receive anything even remotely annoying, so don't worry. I'm hoping to start rolling out the next update mid March, but that's subject to change as I'm in my last semester of university and trying to get some form of a stable career.
That is to say, I'm working on a lot of cool things (from my perspective) in the background that will hopefully add to the experience, and it's taking longer than I expected to get everything working. Since you don't have a Discord, I don't mind sharing some of the things coming in the next update:
Inventory, shops, tasks, character stats, bonus events, branching story, and quite a bit more that's invisible to the player, but also makes my life so much easier.
Quite frankly, it's people like you that help me stay motivated, so thank you for leaving such a wholesome comment. I hope the coming update is to your and everyone else's satisfaction as I have poured quite a bit of time and coffee into it <3
Sorry to be out of the blue, I just wanted to say hentai parts aside it's honestly great. Everything for the most part links up the main character always seems to be in character. (also love how you gave him a great sense of humor) And I just wanted to say I can't donate now but I will when I can and if you need help at all feel free to let me know!
Hey Dev, Please note that there are some issues with the Re'npy's latest software update 7.4.2 as I got to know it from a wonderful developer who patiently helped me out with this issue. So, please if you are using Re'npy software to develop your game & planning to release your latest update, then please first downgrade your software to version 7.3.5 and then release it. Also note that if you are going to release the upgrades to your game using the new software and if an individual downloads & installs it, the game will not only not work but your old saved games won't work either. So before releasing it you need downgrade the software to version 7.3.5 and then release. I had to reset my phone and lose my saves from all the games that were installed in my phone just so that we could come up with this conclusion of mine. I wouldn't want any other patron or other players to go through the same process. I'd request you to explain this situation to the Re'npy developers team and get this sorted out.
Note: This is my experience purely based on Android phone with Android version 11. I cannot vouch for any other software or OS. Thank you for hearing me out.
Interesting. I'll have to do some testing on my end. The next update was supposed to be a major overhaul anyway that would have nuked any previous saves (you can see what's coming on our Discord). I was thinking of ways of integrating old saves, but if this is true, might as well have a clean slate on the new version of ren'py.
The benefits of 64-bit and some of the rendering enhancements outweigh some of the work needed to regain the progress in this case as the game is still light on content.
And not only are there issues with Re'npy, but Android 11 version as well.... I have a Google pixel 4 xl with Android 11 installed in it.... And I must say, it has been a huge pain in the rear...
I just had a scene with Emi in her room where she mentions me finger blasting her into the next world, but I've never had a scene like that with her. All that happened was running into her naked in the locker room, then the conversation in the classroom next day where she mentions "stretches" and things I'm guessing she's referring to the finger blasting again, but it never happened. Am I missing something?
No problem! I know QA is a pain, so I'll mention others from now on. I like what you've done so far and the variety of relationships and characters. I wish I had half your wit. With that writing, it's an actively fun game experience, and the transitions and contrast when things get real are great. Thanks for your hard work
Early development with much more content needed, BUT
this game has a very nice feel, lovely warm art and characters, very good script and dialogues. I want to see MORE of this game. Keep up the great work!

This update breaks old save files. Unfortunately no way around for this update but to restart. However, future updates will not have this issue, so do save your new playthrough

Also, oh my god that's a relatable struggle. The laptop I'm using is $1,400 and I can still barely do renders or animations in an acceptable quality.
I personally wouldn't attempt to dev a game on less than a desktop. Its not even a matter of guts. Its a matter of airflow, imo.

Honestly, seems like some kind of World War or other apocalyptic event given how everyone is affected by it.
I absolutely love this game and where it looks to be going. I've played a good few other games in this style, but this one is by far the best, somehow making me laugh and enjoy the story, can't wait to see future updates!

There's a bit more to it-- two or three more scenes. I just kept doing afternoon visits with her until it triggered

You have to eat lunch with her like 3 times. Then a scene triggers. Then you do the 3 lunches again, then you can pretty much follow the suggestions.

Resolved: new build tested and uploaded. You shouldn't run into the same error.
Update: I have found the issue and of course it's just one line of code ;_; Rebuilding and fresh upload soon
